KAT MEIER
MSW, LICSW

Therapist

Hi! I'm Kat. My approach to therapy is warm, non-judgmental and collaborative. I strive to create a space for individuals and families to grow towards living their most authentic lives and be understood and seen without judgment. I am passionate about supporting people in building self-confidence, a sense of belonging, and skills to navigate life’s challenges.

I enjoy working with teens and adults experiencing a wide range of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, major life transitions, grief, loss, communication skills, school and work related problems, and navigating boundaries.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LW 61226401) and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I draw from multiple evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.

I have a BA in Community Health from Brown University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Washington. I began my career in school-based mental health and have worked in a variety of settings, including teen health clinics, therapeutic day schools, Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) Programs, and virtual therapy settings.

To benefit my clients and continue my professional growth as a therapist, I collaborate and consult with my colleagues at Seattle Family Support, LLC. If you think we'd be a good fit, I would love to connect.
