KAT MEIER
MSW, LICSW
Therapist
Hi! My name is Kat. I am passionate about supporting people in building self-confidence, a sense of belonging, and the skills to navigate life’s challenges. I provide a non-judgmental and collaborative space for individuals and families to grow towards living their most authentic lives.
I enjoy working with teens and adults experiencing a wide range of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, grief, loss, communication skills, school and work-related problems, and navigating boundaries.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LW 61226401) and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I draw from multiple evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I have a BA in Community Health from Brown University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Washington. I began my career in school-based mental health and have worked in a variety of settings, including teen health clinics, therapeutic day schools, Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) Programs, and virtual therapy settings.
To benefit my clients and continue my professional growth as a therapist, I collaborate and consult with my colleagues at Seattle Family Support, LLC. I look forward to getting to know you and guiding you along your journey.
