LAURA BOISMENUE
MS, LMHC

Therapist

Life’s transitions are powerful opportunities for growth and reflection.  The preteen-early adulthood years is a unique time of transition for young people and their families.  Having the help of a skilled therapist can provide critical guidance in developing new ways of relating to oneself and others.  It is my privilege to walk alongside young people in these times of change, challenge, and possibility.

I have served young people for 17 years in roles as counselor, advisor, and therapist in community-based counseling, university, and secondary school settings.  During these years, young people are asking important questions and making decisions about who they want to be and the life that they want to create for themselves.  What an honor it is to be entrusted with their most honest emotions and experiences as they navigate this pivotal time in life.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in a person-centered approach which creates a warm, safe environment from which to reflect, be open and honest to create lasting change.  I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and hold Bachelors and Masters degrees in Psychology.  I serve young people ages 10 through young adulthood.  My approach employs techniques from evidence-based treatment models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Lifespan Integration.  My areas of clinical focus include anxiety, depression, identity formation, school-related problems, and grief.

Let’s connect about how we can partner together in your time of transition and growth.
